The Australian International Airshow is on again at Avalon from March 1 – 3 and the Club is organizing a day trip on Saturday, March 2, in a number of club members’ aircraft. The plan is to depart Aldinga at first light (06:37) and fly to Avalon East (YAVE), the dedicated GA airfield for the air show. We will depart late in the afternoon to arrive at Aldinga before last light (20:19).
We will have a detailed briefing for pilots a few days before departure to ensure we are all familiar with the arrival and departure procedures for YAVE.
