The Club has negotiated with Ron Logan and Adelaide Biplanes to have access to Ron Logan's flight simulator on two occasions during the year. All activities on the simulator will be closely supervised by Harry Wightman and Owen Crees.
The first Club simulator experience day will be on Sunday, July 7 from 09:00 – 13:00.
There will be a series of pre-flight briefings in the club house for each group to provide details of the aircraft performance, the route and procedures and other information required for a successful flight, and a general post-flight briefing for all participants at the end.
We will be using a Cessna 172 aircraft (VH-AAC) and will depart from RWY 21 at Aldinga for a short VFR flight to Adelaide RWY 23. The flight will be as realistic as possible, with typical radio calls, ATC clearances and route requirements so you will need an Adelaide VTC and should be familiar with the route and Adelaide arrival procedures in ERSA.
The final schedule will depend on the number of members. We will fit in as many as possible on the day but, if we can’t accommodate everyone, there will be another session on Tuesday, October 8.
A detailed schedule will be sent to participants a few days before the event.
