THURSDAY AUGUST 17
18:00 CASA Safety Briefing at Adelaide Biplanes. The main themes will be ‘Starved and exhausted – Understanding fuel management’ and ‘Handling partial power loss in single engine aircraft’, case studies, an update on the Regulatory Reform process, a reminder of the correct procedures to use at Non Controlled Aerodromes, and a discussion on the pros and cons of using personal electronic devices in the aviation environment.
TUESDAY AUGUST 30
10:00 CASA Safety Seminar at Aldinga Aero Club. The topics will be the same as at the August 17 event.
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 11
07:15 Dawn Patrol
We’d like all available club aircraft to join this important event to commemorate the Battle of Britain. There will be a flying competition to challenge pilots and their navigators, followed by a sumptuous breakfast, compliments of the Club.
Pilot briefing will be at 07:15 to allow visiting pilots time to arrive after the 07:00 curfew.

08:00 The BIG navigation competition (replaces the event cancelled previously due to poor weather)

Weekend fly away to Echuca
Itinerary includes a cruise on a genuine steam-powered paddle steamer, visits to the Echuca Historical Society Museum, Port of Echuca Discovery Centre, Echuca Heritage Sweet Company etc. There will be a separate email about this event.
